Building - Week Seventeen (20th Feb)

It seems a long time since anything substantial has happened to the building. With the exception of filling in a window in the sanctuary and two (partly) in the lounge that has been the case.

However, this week has changed all that. The delays had been caused by the provision of the steelwork, which couldn’t be ordered until the sizes were obtained, from the building - not the drawings. Then this week, the four vertical trusses were erected before a roof height platform was erected to allow work on the roof. Then the additional steelwork was added, the sloping roof supports and then the roof apex beam. After a short delay the shape of the building is starting to become apparent.
