The ladies at St. George’s St., especially Cath, Janet, Jean, Marion and Mildred always ensure that the church has beautiful floral displays. Flowers as we see, are not only about decoration, they can be used to set the scene and create mood. As we know, Easter is a time of contrasting emotions and the deep reds of the carnations on the cross remind us of the pain and anguish of Good Friday. This contrasts with the bright yellows and white that in a sweeping dash bring out the joy of that resurrection morning. WELL DONE, Ladies! |

This wonderful flower display was supplemented with copious quantities of daffodils both inside and outside the church building. All in all, a wonderful tribute. |
